Macro Photos

Web assignment #4

Alfred Stieglitz

File:Alfred Stieglitz self-portrait, freienwald, 1886.jpg

Alfred Stieglitz was an American photographer, who was known for his photographs that showed emotion.

I like this photograph because it kind of seems to mean something more than just a picture of hands. I also like how it's kind of dark and mysterious.

He was involved with the Painter Georgia O'Keeffe.
This is one of her paintings I enjoy.

Brownie Camera:

A brownie camera was a simple camera that was essentially made out of cardboard and was made to be inexpensive and easy to use. It had a meniscus lens and took a 2 1/4 inch pictures on 117 roll film. It introduced the concept of snapshot. The first Brownie was introduced by February, 1900, by Eastman Kodak.  It changed Society by letting the people take the pictures, without going to the professionals. It made photography portable.
